Largo (Ombra mai fu)

"Ombra mai fu", the aria that opens Handel's opera Serse, arranged for B♭ clarinet and piano. Widely known simply as "Handel's Largo", it asks you to let every note ring fully within a slow, dignified flow. There are few notes to manage, so it is playable at beginner level and works well for practising long tones held without a wobble.
