Founder’s Insight
How CLASSLOG started
CLASSLOG grew out of one musician's long experience.
After studying mainly audition and repertoire pieces without enough grounding in the fundamentals, they performed a great deal over many years — but their playing didn't improve much.
Then they went back to the method books from the beginning and worked systematically on basic intonation, rhythm, articulation and note values. The playing changed dramatically.
What creates growth isn't simply practising more — it's knowing your own problems and practising the right way.
CLASSLOG sets out to make the knowledge and practice methods that used to reach only music majors easy for many more people to use.

Free parts and performance videos so you can find a piece you love and start right away. It doesn't end with a file download — each piece connects to performance videos, accompaniment and recording missions to become one body of practice material.
Scores and backing tracks
Accompaniment scores and backing tracks so you can practise with real music even on your own. We're building backing-track streaming with several tempo steps, so you can move naturally from slow practice up to the original tempo.
Recording missions
Practise a short piece, record it and submit. Completing a mission earns points, and you can spend those points on CLASSLOG's scores and backing tracks. This is the core practice loop that gets you actually practising, listening back and trying again.

The AI performance review we're building isn't a device that reduces your musical worth to a score. Right now it focuses on short practice missions and analyses these fundamentals.

The AI isn't a judge declaring what you got right or wrong — it's an assistant coach pointing out what's easy to miss while practising. It tells you which measure the beat wavered in, where a note got too short, or where an entrance was unclear, so you can go back and practise it.
At first it reviews the fundamentals in short missions. Later we'll connect it to backing-track streaming to check how completely you played a whole piece, how well you held the tempo, and where the main pitch and rhythm slips happened.
We're not here to replace your teacher.
We help with practising alone
A good teacher's guidance matters when you learn an instrument. But real growth depends heavily on the private practice that happens between lessons. Many learners struggle to tell what's going wrong when they practise alone, can't see their own progress, and end up giving the instrument up.
CLASSLOG isn't trying to take a teacher's place. It's a learning aid that helps you practise what you learned in your lesson consistently, log it, and check on it — by yourself.
In the longer term we want to connect learners with teachers who share CLASSLOG's approach to education, and to grow into physical spaces anyone can visit to practise and take lessons. Online supports your daily practice; offline is where people meet people and the music comes together.
