Spring Song, Op. 62 No. 6
Felix Mendelssohn
"Spring Song", the best-loved of Mendelssohn's Songs Without Words, arranged for B♭ clarinet and piano. Light, springing grace notes create the sense of spring, so placing them clearly without rushing is the crux. The melody is bright, but the tone must stay soft rather than turning coarse.
